Introducing our newest carbon turbo tube for FK2. This tube has an even larger capacity, which allows the turbo to work even more without restrictions and deliver more power. Our turbo tubes were designed with three main goals in mind:

1) Capacity: Inlet Diameter – The Eventuri is 78mm at the intake end, which has been increased to 88mm versus the stock 63mm. Starting at the connection to the intake system, we matched the MAF tube diameter and increased it to 88mm throughout the main section of the tube, a 96% increase in cross-sectional area compared to the OEM tube. Obviously, with the significantly increased internal diameter size, the Eventuri tube encapsulates a much larger internal volume and does not restrict the flow path to the turbo. This allows the turbo to operate more efficiently and spool up to peak boost levels quicker. It also allows the turbo to operate at peak boost with reduced turbine load.

2) Flow Quality: Large internal volume alone is meaningless if the flow path also allows for smooth airflow to the turbo. By using high temperature pre-preg carbon fiber, we were able to achieve a smooth internal surface. In contrast, standard inlet tubes are made from cast aluminum, which results in a rough internal surface. This, combined with the smooth curvature of the elbow, results in a flow path that minimizes turbulence.

3) Temperature: The last criterion was to minimize heat conduction to the air flow. The standard inlet is connected directly to the turbo, so that heat is conducted as soon as the turbo rotates. Our system uses a machined flange that connects to the turbo, followed by a silicone coupler with a built-in thermal spacer to ensure that the carbon elbow does not come into direct contact with the turbo. This barrier, combined with the carbon fiber's low thermal conductivity through thickness, results in less heat being transferred to the air stream.

This turbo tube is designed to fit FK2 intakes with carbon MAF tubes.
