The side design of the CIVIC FD2 is that of an ordinary sedan, with no bumps or distinctive features, but by installing the rear wide fender, it is transformed into a powerful and bold silhouette befitting the Type R. The bumper molding, which flows from the wide fender to the rear bumper, creates a sporty atmosphere by connecting with the door molding. The wide fender can also be installed to prevent the tires and wheels from protruding from the vehicle width, even when wider tires and wheels are installed or wide tread spacers are used to widen the vehicle.
