The FK2 Type R V2 intake system is an update to our original FK2 system, replacing the factory rubber intake tube with our carbon tube and custom silicone hose. The new carbon tube also incorporates the MAF sensor, replacing the metal MAF tube of the original Eventuri system. The addition of the carbon tube provides a smoother path from the venturi filter housing to the factory turbo intake tube, which makes a huge difference in terms of the additional performance you get. The rest of the intake system remains the same, with our cold air scoop and venturi filter housing providing smoother airflow and lower intake temperatures. By integrating an effective cold air feed not found in the factory system and combining it with our patented venturi housing and carbon intake tube, our intake system consistently delivers industry leading results.

The FK2 Type R V2 Eventuri system uses our patented carbon fiber housing and Gen 2 custom filter, providing an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from filter to turbo. This is not just a cone filter with a heat shield, it is a unique design that invokes the Venturi effect, maintaining laminar flow conditions and reducing turbo drag.

It is introduced on Ameblo's "M&M HONDA's Honda Honki."

Since the intake is directly behind the radiator, it was important that the filter was not exposed, which was achieved by removing the flexible tubing and optimizing the inlet path with a Venturi stack connected directly to the filter. Additionally, we added a second inlet to the airbox with a scoop that draws air from the inner wing area. This equates to nearly doubling the total cross-sectional area the turbo can bleed through compared to the single entry on the stock system. The carbon airbox enclosure is designed to maximize the use of available volume and block all heat sources. The resulting performance gains and the design aesthetic of the intake shine within the FL5's engine bay.

A standard airbox draws air in through a single inlet duct located behind the front bumper. This inlet is very small in size at approximately 35cm^2 and the filter location is right behind the radiator, so just opening the filter in the engine bay is problematic as the filter quickly saturates with heat as the engine warms up. This intake system solves this problem by keeping the filter closed inside the airbox and adding a secondary feed that opens up the intake by another 28cm^2. Combined with a Venturi filter stack, it gives a smoother flow and immediate gains throughout the entire RPM range from 14-20h. The graph above shows a comparison between the stock airbox and the Eventuri intake system on a standard car with standard maps and exhaust.
